6 मार्च को दिल्ली की ओर अपना मार्च फिर से शुरू करने वाले किसान आज चार घंटे के लिए देशव्यापी ‘रेल रोको’ विरोध प्रदर्शन करने के लिए तैयार हैं। संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा (गैर-राजनीतिक) और किसान मजदूर मोर्चा ने केंद्र पर अपनी मांगों को जारी रखने के लिए विरोध प्रदर्शन का आह्वान किया। दोपहर 12 बजे से शाम 4 बजे तक होने वाला विरोध प्रदर्शन हाल के ‘दिल्ली चलो’ मार्च के बाद है।

राष्ट्रव्यापी ‘रेल रोको’ विरोध प्रदर्शन में हरियाणा और पंजाब में लगभग 60 स्थानों पर सैकड़ों किसानों के इकट्ठा होने की उम्मीद है, जिससे संभावित रूप से ट्रेन सेवाओं में बाधा उत्पन्न हो सकती है।

Farmers, who resumed their march towards Delhi on March 6, are set to stage a nationwide ‘Rail Roko’ protest for four hours today. The protest, scheduled from 12pm to 4pm, follows the recent ‘Delhi Chalo’ march.

The nationwide ‘Rail Roko’ protest is expected to see hundreds of farmers gathering in approximately 60 locations across Haryana and Punjab, potentially causing disruptions to train services.
Sarwan Singh Pandher, leader of Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, announced that hundreds of farmers will occupy railway tracks in various Punjab districts, including Ferozepur, Amritsar, Rupnagar, and Gurdaspur.
Several farmer unions, such as Bharti Kisan Union (Ekta Ugrahan), Bharti Kisan Union (Dakaunda-Dhaner), and Krantikari Kisan Union, affiliated with the Samyukta Kisan Morcha, will also participate in the protest.
Security has been heightened at all borders in anticipation of the protest.
Section 144 has been imposed in Ambala district of Haryana to prevent major disturbances, with police deployed in sensitive areas.

The ongoing farmers’ protest, initiated on February 13 with the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march, stems from various demands, including MSP assurance, implementation of the Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations, pensions for farmers and farm laborers, farm debt waiver, withdrawal of police cases, justice for the victims of the 2021 Lakhimpur Kheri violence, reinstatement of the Land Acquisition Act – 2013, and compensation for families of farmers who died during previous agitations.
