Jharkhand Rape Case: Singer Chinmayi said, ‘Even in India everyone can feel ashamed…’
Singer Chinmayi Sripada ने Jharkhand में हुए भयानक बलात्कार मामले पर प्रतिक्रिया दी, जहां एक स्पेनिश महिला के साथ उसके पति के साथ रहने के दौरान सामूहिक बलात्कार किया गया था। बांग्लादेश से नेपाल जा रहा यह जोड़ा झारखंड के दुमका में रुका, जहां यह घटना घटी। चिन्मयी ने कहा कि जैसे भारतीय ओलंपिक जीत का जश्न मनाते हैं, वैसे ही ऐसे अपराध होने पर उन्हें शर्म भी महसूस करनी चाहिए।
Jharkhand पुलिस ने मामले की तुरंत जांच की, जिससे सात संदिग्धों में से तीन को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। पुलिस की ओर से पति को 10 लाख रुपये का मुआवजा मिला। स्पेनिश दूतावास ने समर्थन की सराहना की और विश्व स्तर पर महिलाओं के प्रति हिंसा के खिलाफ एकजुट होने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया।
National Commission for Women (NCW) ने इस घटना को दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बताया और इसकी निंदा की. उन्होंने त्वरित कार्रवाई का आग्रह किया और जांच में तेजी लाने और अपराधियों पर बलात्कार का आरोप लगाने के लिए पुलिस महानिदेशक को एक पत्र भेजा।
Jharkhand high court ने मामले का संज्ञान लिया और 7 मार्च को इसकी समीक्षा करेगा. अदालत ने दुमका पुलिस अधीक्षक से दोषियों के खिलाफ की गयी कार्रवाई का विवरण देने वाला हलफनामा मांगा.

Singer Chinmayi Sripaada responded to the terrible rape case in Jharkhand where a Spanish woman was gang-raped while camping with her husband. The couple, traveling from Bangladesh to Nepal, stopped in Dumka, Jharkhand, where the incident occurred. Chinmayi expressed that just as Indians celebrate Olympic victories, they should also feel ashamed when such crimes happen.
The Jharkhand Police quickly investigated the case, leading to three arrests out of the seven suspects. The husband received a compensation of ₹10 lakhs from the police. The Spanish Embassy appreciated the support and emphasized the need to unite against violence towards women globally.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) termed the incident unfortunate and condemned it. They urged swift action and sent a letter to the Director General of Police to expedite the investigation and charge the perpetrators with rape.
The Jharkhand High Court took notice of the case and will review it on March 7th. The court demanded an affidavit from the Dumka Superintendent of Police detailing actions taken against the culprits.
